Why KYNDO exists

KYNDO was created because real connection can sometimes be harder to find than it should be — especially when you come alone, are new to a city or are looking for a place where you simply feel welcome.

Why KYNDO exists
In a city like Cologne, there are many people, many places and many ways to go out. And still, it can sometimes feel difficult to truly arrive somewhere. For queer people especially, it is not only about going somewhere or collecting new contacts. It is about finding spaces where you feel safe. Spaces where you do not have to explain who you are. Spaces where connection can happen naturally — without pressure, without expectations and without the feeling that you have to perform. KYNDO was created from exactly that need. From the wish for a community where you are allowed to come alone. Where it is okay to feel a little unsure at first. Where not everything has to be loud, fast or superficial. And where real connection matters more than dating pressure, party vibes or networking. Many people wish for new friendships, warm experiences and a sense of belonging. But the first step is often the hardest. Especially when you do not know anyone, do not know what to expect or are afraid of standing somewhere alone. KYNDO wants to make that first step easier. Our events are intentionally small, warm and clearly structured. Whether it is a Walk & Talk, brunch, Creative Night, Deep Talk or movement format — it is not about being extremely extroverted or having to talk to everyone right away. It is about sharing an experience and meeting people in a setting that feels natural and respectful. KYNDO is not a dating platform. Not a party series. Not a networking format. KYNDO is a queer community for real connection. For people who want to meet new people. For people who are looking for belonging. For people who come alone and still do not want to stay alone. For people who are looking for a space where connection is not forced, but allowed to unfold. We are starting in Cologne — step by step, event by event, connection by connection. With the wish to create spaces where queer people can feel seen, welcome and connected. Come alone. Find your people.
